Terms
Terms of use
Plain language, and specific. Ephorhelm is a Windows desktop application published by Technoir PR, LLC, a Nevada limited liability company ("we", "us"). By creating an account or installing the app you agree to what follows. Where these terms say "the app" they mean Ephorhelm; Claude Code is Anthropic's product and is covered in section 5.
1. The beta
Ephorhelm is beta software, offered free of charge during the beta. It may have defects, it may change, and features may be added or removed. Do not use it where a failure would cause you loss you are not prepared to absorb.
We may end the beta at any time. If we do, we will post it on this site and email the address on your account before your licence stops being renewed. A build you have already installed keeps running for as long as its licence is valid, and the commitments on the pricing page apply: no session already open is ever cut off, and no price appears without notice.
2. Your licence, which is per machine
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Ephorhelm. The licence is issued per machine. Each machine is activated separately from your account and its licence is bound to that machine through a one-way hash of its Windows machine identifier; a licence cannot be moved to another machine, and you cannot share one activation with another person. You may activate the machines you yourself use, and you can remove any of them from your account page.
The licence is issued to the licensee you named at registration: a person, or a person and a company. Do not resell Ephorhelm, rent it, redistribute the installer, or remove or work around the licensing. Reverse engineering is permitted only where the law says it cannot be forbidden.
3. Your account
One account per person. Registration asks for your first and last name, company if you have one, phone number, postal address, email address and a password; the privacy page says what we do with each of them. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend an account being used to abuse the service, and we will tell you why.
You can delete your account yourself from the account page, or ask us to through the contact form. Deleting it removes the account, its licences and its check-in history, and every activated machine stops opening new sessions at its next check-in.
4. Your work is yours
We claim nothing in your code, your prompts, your transcripts or anything else Ephorhelm touches on your machine. We never receive it - see the privacy page for the complete list of what the app sends.
5. Claude Code and Anthropic
Ephorhelm is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic. Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of Anthropic. You need your own Claude Code installation and your own agreement with Anthropic; your use of Claude is governed by their terms, not ours, and we are not responsible for their service, their pricing or their model output. Ephorhelm does not resell access to Claude.
6. No warranty
Ephorhelm is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free.
7. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost work, arising out of your use of Ephorhelm. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for Ephorhelm in the twelve months before the claim, which during the beta is zero.
8. Changes
We may change these terms. Material changes will be posted here and emailed to accounts before they take effect. Pricing changes follow the commitments on the pricing page, including that a lapsed licence never cuts off a session already in flight.
9. Ending it
You may stop using Ephorhelm at any time and delete your account from the account page or through the contact form. We may end your licence if you breach these terms, and we may end the beta as described in section 1. Sections 4 through 7 survive.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Clark County, Nevada have jurisdiction.
